  2. Deniz Aytekin will become the first category 2 referee in group faze match in Europa League. Congratulations to Aytekin, who is great referee in my opinion.

  3. Yesterday's perfomance of Aytekin was a disaster..

  4. Oh dear, Koukoulakis for Schalke, I hope he will do well :S
The appointments in CL are quite odd.
    Why should Fandel observe Duhamel?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Maybe UEFA wants to understand (it's just my opinion) if Duhamel is still an affidable Elite Ref or not, in the last times, he wasn't appointed so much. All in all, I think he doesn't have so much to envy to Lannoy.

  6. yep that is right.
I like the appointments UEFA made, although I am still surprised about Itturalde's appointment..Atkinson, well, he was good last season, had a poor evening last week, we have to see what he can show.
But I really have to say that I am not content with the EL appointments. Most of them are ok, but hm..

  7. UPDATE: The pdf is complete for 90%, I estimate that the download will be available this evening.

  8. Last week we talked about UEFA underestimating matches or groups.
I am afraid that they underestimated BVB:ARS..a hot match before nearly 80.000 supporters. Always a special atmosphere, would have wished perhaps another referee, but this is a great chance for Rocchi, he should use it as Tagliavento could have overtaken him in the last matches.

In matchday 1 Lannoy and Rocchi will be under fire they have the two greater games (in my opinion). my opinion is that rocchi doesn't belong to the elite group...but ok..lest's wait and see.
Iturralde nomination isn't that surprising. I was waiting nominations for him and Braahmar, but probably in matchday 6. it's a career prize...

  10. Ok, one can see it like that.
But this makes me hope that Vad, Strombergsson and Studer will get CL matches.
Perhaps even Hansson will get a match, one never knows...
I am wondering which match will be FdB's last. I guess it will be Man City - Bayern.

  11. UPDATE:
I thought I could finish the work this evening, but I totally forget US Open Final between Nadal and Djokovic...that has priority today :D
Everything is written, only some layout bugs are still available.

ALL YOUR SENT APPOINTMENTS WILL BE ATTACHED IN THE PDF ON THE LAST FEW SITES. THE POINTS WILL BE GIVEN AS FOLLOWS:

-designated referee got match in the same group:
    2 points
-designated referee and the officially appointed referee belong to the same group of UEFA referees:
    1 point
    - designated referee's origin and officially appointed referee's origin are identic (perhaps you have Webb for Barca but Atkinson is in):
    3 points

if the chosen referee is correct, there will be 10 points (and of course, the points above (1, 2, 3) are included in these 10 points.

I do not know the result, but I know that there was one guy who had Atkinson, congrats!

NEW RELEASE DATE: Tomorrow, 15:00 UTC (17:00 MESZ)! Stay tuned.

I hope Strömbergsson won't get CL match. I don't know what FIFA and UEFA saw in him to call him on Euro U-21 and WC U-20. There are a lot of referees in cat1 who are better than Strömbergsson. I agree Braamhaar should get CL match he deserved it, I still don't believe that Braamhaar was demoted and Vink and Blom promoted to elite. FdB's last match will be Ajax-Real Madrid if you ask me.

  13. Ajax ist impossible as far as I am informed.
I think Belgian referees are not allowed to referee Dutch teams, are they?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Correct, Niclas. De Bleeckere sometimes officiates also in Eredivisie, then, as a UEFA referee he can't officiate dutch and belgian teams.

  15. Rocchi had a great evening, Brych as far as I watched it as well..
