  1. What do you think about Perisic's second yellow/red card?

  2. Was a superb decision by Meyer and Bornhorst. They just did not fall for his action "Oh dear my shoulder!!", the first yellow was ok as well, one could even think about a straight red card in the 48th minute to my mind.
Did anyone see Sippel yesterday? He was a disaster, by far the worst Bundesliga perfomance this season.
He destroyed the game yesterday with terrible mistakes on both sides.

  3. I evaluated every referee perfomance so far in an excel grid, the average mark given by me for Bundesliga matches is around 7,2.
Sippel managed to get the first mark below 5,0, there are only three perfomances above 8,0 so far.
Weiner is the best referee so far according to my marks - Kircher the worst.

  4. that is the statistic:

I will publish my marks after MD17 when there will be the winter break and of course after the season. 7,2 sounds only decent, but keep into consideration that I use another percentage (calls and control each 25%, style and neutrality each 20% and match difficulty/importance 10%.

  5. Yeap, Sippel was awful. First penalty call was good in my opinion and red card too, but second penalty... The biggest disaster of the whole Bundesliga season. Penalty - never! If penalty - maximum yellow card. No comment.

  6. Hmm the first red card was according to the rules, but I and the Germans as well argue the case for more gentle rules when a goalkeeper is involved. I do not see an active action by Fährmann, I only see a striker who falls after a contact with the goalkeeper. It was no foul, but such situations always look like straight red.

  7. Yes, I agree with you. In this situation, the judge can make two decisions. Or give an indirect free kick and a yellow card for simulation, or give a penalty and red card. Personally, I favor the first option, but you have tremendous courage and confidence to a good interpretation.
