  1. The big hope for final now is O'Leary. Noumandiez as a possible surprise, but knowing FIFA one name is ready to reach again a final: Irmatov from Uzbekistan.
I hope to be denied, what a monotony!

  2. yes I agree..but well, if it is again Irmatov, we will be able to say: it is just a club world cup final..

  3. Haave you got any news about other played matches?
On worldreferee someone should update all the results. There isn't any report so far.
About Barca match, today I have just watched a correctly disallowed goal, in first half. It was a decision of second assistant, Zumba.

  4. Yes! Absolutely, I saw the situation as well. Actually the only important call, not difficult but not easy to see either. Probably 0,5 m offside but these situations are always precarious when a ball rebounds from the goalkeeper.
I am going to update the matches at WR if noone has done that until now.

  6. Irmatov is great referee, but someone else should get the final, Peter O'Leary maybe. FIFA obviously like Irmatov very, very much.

  8. Hello Niclas,
Are you angry? You shuld be aware: this is FIFA, we know them so well. I think that with Busacca, anything has changed.
Ravshan Irmatov: 34 years old and already 4 finals in his palmares. Impressive...

  9. I do not hate FIFA for appointing him for the final. If you have an Irmatov in your roster it would not be sensible to not appoint him.
However, I criticize the selection! There are about 10 other Asian referees who could have been nominated who want to show something. Irmatov has shown a lot, we know him, FIFA knows him but again and again he gets the appointments.

  10. I totally agree, we always repeat the same speech: it is not because of Irmatov, but because of FIFA.
He deserves every final, but we have also to consider other referees, especially for the next World Cup.
Ali Al Badwawi, Kim Dong-Jin and so on... by the way, Niclas have you got any news about Breeze?
It seems he is not more appointed in any competition from one year ago...

  11. It is strange, yes, he is FIFA listed, one of those referees AFC likes to show on its website (see the referee-section, Breeze, Nishimura, and again Breeze...)

I have no idea at all, I think he must have retired or have been heavily injured but there is simply no info on that in the www..
