45 Comments:

  1. Great matches for Koukoulakis and Dean. Slovan-Salzburg, Johanesson and Uilenberg, I believe Uilenberg's report will decide Johanesson's future: elite development or cat1.

    ReplyDelete
  2. yes, this was my thought as well.
Why are there sometimes two observers for a match? "4 eyes see more than 2"?

Dino, do you want to observe a match?

    ReplyDelete
  3. I confirm Udinese - Celtic

    ReplyDelete
  4. I will watch AEK and PAOK.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Chefren, do you want another match as well?
    Lazio?
Thanks for those which are confirmed!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Finally, Sky Germany will not only show Premier League and as usual Bundesliga, but also Serie A ! I am exciting to watch Lazio-Udine next Sunday. Could it be Mazzoleni's match?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lazio-Udinese will be a really interesting match. My guess for the referee is Damato. Here in Italy the appointments for weekend are published on thursday.

About Lazio-Sporting: I haven't the chance to watch it live, so, as always, I have to download it and watch the game here on pc. If you want, appoint me, hoping to find the full match on rojadirecta.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'll do Shamrock-Tottenham

    ReplyDelete
  9. About FIFA Club World Cup: Irmatov got the Fifth Place (a meaningless match) Final, Rizzoli the first semifinal and Aguilar the second one.
Now, we have still to see Noumandiez Doue. But I think in the third place match and not in the final.
    A chance for O'Leary?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Osses is out after Mondria big mistake...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ok thanks to both of you.
A seperate thread for the three CWC Matches will of course follow.
My prediction was before these appointments (they unfolded - so far - to be true):

    SF1 Rizzoli, SF2 Aguilar, 5th Irmatov, 3rd Doue FINAL O Leary

I do not think that his previous match was the best application for a final appointment but I think Irmatov has already got so much...an OFC trio for a final would be a milestone for this small confederation.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'll do Lazio-Sporting while I'm fan of Mike Dean, he's great referee, it's a pitty he's only cat 1. About Irmatov: They shouldn't even appoint him for this tournament, he whistled final match in 2008., actually he whistled almost every possible final (I believe he will also get World Cup final 2014 od 2018). There is no doubt, Nishimura and Irmatov are best Asian referees, but some other referees should get the chance if you ask me. For example I was really surprised by Kim Dong Jin in U-20 World Cup. I think O'Leary will get the final match.

    ReplyDelete
  13. CroRef, if you are sure about Lazio-Sporting, I could also change match, because I think (also for Niclas and his blog) is it more important to observe as many referees as possible.
So, if Niclas agrees, I would choose Anderlecht - Lokomotiv. Bebek has an important test, after a terrible performance in his last match.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sry Chefren, I forgot you wrote you want to watch Lazio-Sporting, my mistake. I'll leave it for you, while Lazio is playing, I'll do Bebek if it's ok with you.

    ReplyDelete
  15. For me, there aren't problems. However, ok.
Lazio - Sporting for me and Bebek for you, if you want to change, just ask.

    ReplyDelete
  16. By the way, I totally agree with you about Irmatov: in these tournaments, FIFA should test new referees, or however those who are on the PRE List for the World Cup.
There are many asian names waiting for the call.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi

    I will watch:
    1. PSG - Athletic
    2. Fulham - Odense
    3. Maccabi - Schalke
    4. Wisła - Twente
    4. PSV - Rapid
    5. Udinese - Celtic
    6. Brugge - Braga
    7. Hapoel - Legia

If you want it, I may do a match reports for these games.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Haha..thanks for the great resonance.
If you have already arrived at an agreement, it is ok. I am going to watch Bebek's perfomance as well because I want to see whether there is any kind of prospect for the chapter.
Ok Qudamah, I am going to write you down for the matches: Fulham-OB, Wisla-Twente, PSV-Rapid, Brugge-Braga and Hapoel-Legia ;)

I expect that Maccabi-Schalke will be a home win for the Israelis. Schalke will spare: Huntelaar, Raúl, Holtby and Jones, very important players for us, furthermore, our coach stays at home due to a sad case in the family. The team which is gonna play tomorrow never played in this formation...

    ReplyDelete
  19. I have already posted the following question in another thread, but probably the attention lies more on this post now, which is quite reasonable.

a question towards the Spanish friends:

Carlos Clos Gómez was normally accompanied by Juan José Gallego Galindo. However, Gallego is not appointed at his side anymore, he has not assisted so many international matches. Is there any sign of retirement or loosing the FIFA badge?
Moreover, who will replace Fermin Martínez?
I know that González González will make his FIFA bow as referee, normally, each FIFA referee has two standard assistant referees in Spain, one FIFA and one non-FIFA. Is e.g. Ignacio Rubio Palomino in consideration for this slot?

    ReplyDelete
  20. and concerning Irmatov, I agree. I would have liked to see Nawaf Shukrallah or Alireza Faghani in a match. But they will, they MUST get their chances in other FIFA competitions during the next two years, there is only one small problem.
FIFA will publish its final prospective list in September 2012, which means that under-17/-20 world cups in 2013 will have no influence on the pre-selection of the officials, hence, those who have already got an appointment, like Shukrallah, Kim or Al Badwawi (latter is to my mind the current no 3 of Asia), they will be very safe bets, no doubt about Nishimura and Irmatov.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wil someone do a report on Atletico Madrid - Rennes?

    Greetings from Spain,

    Jorge

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hola Jorge,

    Todo tuyo si lo quieres,
de casualidad estás registrado en Worldrefree?

    Saludos,
    Carlos S

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jorge, that would be great.
You can write me an e-mail if your are interested in joining worldreferee.com where you can give your marks for the referees and where you have the opportunity to write a short report on the respective match (official).

However, if you just want to report this one match as beginning, that will be ok as well, I write you down along with Carlos, perhaps you can work together, as he will probably watch the match, too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Svedish referee Daniel Stalhammar sent off directly two Dynamo Kyiv players: the first for a foul, the second I don't know why.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just published a report for Deaconu at WR.

    Marks.

    Calls: 7
    Control: 7
    Neutrality: 7
    Style: 6
    Match Diff: 5

    Final Mark: 6.60

    ReplyDelete
  26. Stalhammar seems to like straight reds, in his first match one was also very doubtful.

    Fautrel: 6,5
    Johannesson: 6,5
    Jug: 7,5

    @ Edward: 6,6 but a good perfomance?

    ReplyDelete
  27. by the way: I do not know whether the red card issued by Bebek was correct, but have a look on his palmarès and you will recognize that this referee is incapable of refereeing a match without dismission.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mazzoleni has been appointed for Lazio-Udinese, Niclas. You said it right.
My report about Lazio-Sporting is ready on worldreferee.
Meanwhile, in Japan Barcelona is reaching the final, as expected.

    ReplyDelete
  29. the way for Irmatov or O'Leary is free.

Mazzoleni along with Grilli and Rosi. Nice to observe them.
Celi with Napoli-Roma..wow. The next big match for him. FIFA soon?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mhh, Domenico Celi is in a good moment now, but he is 38 (on January 39), I think it's hard for him, to reach the FIFA badge. We need to promote young referees...

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes that is right, I thought he would be younger.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Niklas

As I wrote to my report the match was extremely easy so my marks are the maximum for that level. It became 6.60 with 5 at difficulty.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ok. I created the parameter "match difficulty" to avoid withdrawing marks only due to a match of lower importance or difficulty.
Therefore, it would be better to give the marks for calls etc (e.g. 8) and then relativise them with the aid of the additional parameter

    ReplyDelete
  34. by the way, the 1st part of this Bundesliga season reaches its end. I have all the marks for the first 16 matchdays, I just have to wait for this weekend. At the moment, I assume that Stark is leading the roster, nothing worse than 7,3..

    ReplyDelete
  35. For me, Stark was not so good, too pedantic and several smaller or bigger mistakes. My favourites are Kinhöfer (very confident and very few mistakes), Meyer (good perfomances in many top matches) and Fritz, who showed, that his FIFA nomination is deserved.
But I have to admit, I didn't see all the matches...

    ReplyDelete
  36. I want to apologize Chefren. I forgot that he had to write a report. I just wanted to enter a number of cards and the result, but the system classified it as a match report. Sorry! :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ok.

Just comparing two German top referees and their so far perfomances in Bundesliga:
(matchday ordered, Philipp, you can hence look up for which matches I gave which mark)

    STARK
    7,8 / 7,6 / 7,5 / 7,8 / 7,7 / 7,5 / 7,4 / 7,4

    MEYER
6,5 (HSV-Köln, many many errors) / 7,3 / 5,7 (S04-Bayern, missed two fouls prior to Bayern's goals, missed a penalty to Schalke in the first half) / 7,4 / 7,2 / 7,3 / 6,3 (Revierderby, missed too many fouls and cards, the free kick prior to the 1-0 was not match decisive, but was doubtful) / 7,4

    ReplyDelete
  38. inserted the wrong number, Meyer's last match (Bayern-Bremen) was 7,7.
Kinhöfer, Zwayer and Perl are also joining the peak of referees.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Report on Orsato:

    http://www.worldreferee.com/site/match.php?refID=4203&matchID=44015#

    Marks

    Calls: 9
    Control: 8
    Style: 9
    Neutrality: 9
    Match Diff: 7

    Final mark: 8.55

    ReplyDelete
  40. Qudamah H. Nader: don't worry.
However I think worldreferee should give the possibility to us (the reporters) to update the results, because sometimes it really needs.
I would be happy, giving my help. I can imagine how many matches there are to insert in the system

    ReplyDelete
  41. Chefren, pls contact me via mail ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ok, done, waiting for your answer

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks again for you answer Niclas.
I think in the next days the list for Euro2012 will be published, I'm really anxious.
If anyone has any rumors or news, please post immediatly it!
Could Monday be the right day?
