    1. The assistant referees were Norbert Grudzinsi and Sascha Thielert, both from Hamburg.
If you need more appointments for friendlies in Germany, just ask, I have got a long list ;)

    2. Thank you very very much! By the way, Norbert Grudzinski must have Polish descent :)

  6. I think Ben Williams shouldn't be in a Latin involved game. Mexicans play really rough and trickery, it may be a difficult game for him. Just an idea.

    1. If he is taking into account for 2014 WC, he must cope with such clashes. Maybe it's his last chance for making great international career after terrible performance in Kuwait - China at 2011 Asian Cup. It is possibly very important match for him.

    2. He must be ready for exaggeration of Mexicans as Gabon players will be coming in hard and sometimes late. Will be an interesting battle.

  11. I have watched now the penalty situation in Mexico-Gabon. Well I think that the red card it's wrong. The position is not the best to think that the player will have an easy chance to score, furthermore, another Gabon defender is reaching the middle of the penalty area. Wrong color but correct foul (of course).
    What do you think?
Video of the situation is available on rojadirecta

    1. I have to correct myself, it was a second yellow and not a straight red, totally correct call then.
I misread the info on a site.

  12. Ok no problem ;) Very soft penalty to my mind, only minimal pulling, but still correct. Some errors by Williams and perhaps missed a red card, where he only issued yellow. But I wait for your report.
Brych so far with a stellar performance, correct cards and an assistant referee who has proven that goalline technology is not always needed.

Brych's red card was for SFP or DOGSO?

      Delete
    2. Probably for SFP. Have a look on the swiftness of going to the trouser pocket. If it had been DOGSO, it would have been a wrong call, he would have checked it with taking more time and consulting Lupp..

    1. Well, it wouldn't be a so difficult search ;)
Valentin Ivanov is still the number 1 with his performance in Portugal - Netherlands WC 2006 ;)
