  1. To be honest, very strange appointments, especially Clattenburg. Nothing against him, of course, but the offside mistake was clear in their last match
Furthermore, Brych appointment for this match could be a lost chance for the final, do you agree?
I would like to know something about the referees sent home, are there news?
The men still there could be the fourth official of these 4 matches?

  2. No, sorry, I have to make something clear now.
The goal scored by Egypt was legal, NO offside.
See the screen attached. I have not seen this situation by now, accepted the marks and the report and all the things I heard from others, but now I am pretty stunned to be honest.

I therefore neglect any previous statement issued by me that Clattenburg and his team should definitely get no second match.

    1. And to make that also clear, the upper red player got the ball, not the red player at the bottom.

    4. It seems onside, I trusted the reporter (didn't watch the highlights).
I'm sorry for that, so I have to retract my words, too.

    1. Watching the pic that you have posted, I think the explanation is that Clattenburg saw a dangerous play by the Senegal player and nothing more against the opponent.
Anyway later I will download the full match.
And what about the red card given by Geiger? Correct also this one, after a normal foul, I read on the FIFA matchcentre.

    2. I saw Geiger's match live Chefren and I can tell you it was a DOGSO. Geiger was spot-on at this situation but the rest of him game wasn't that good. I will send my report tomorrow by his mark will be 7.6 or 7.7.

I agree with Edward, but also feel that Geiger should be commended for his boldness at the Olympic Games in issuing a red card in each of his two games for DOGSO (correctly) when most referees seem to be hesitant to show red cards due to the politics that follow. While Geiger does not have the means to refine his skills in the MLS that most European referees have in their top leagues, I think we will see him on multiple occasions in the 2014 World Cup as FIFA seem to like him.

Please report how Brych was. Correct sending-offs?

    1. I disagree with penalty and sending offs. This is a quarter final, shouldn't have been that easy to throw yellow cards. In fact, he couldn't see brazilians diving most of the time. Lack of experience for Latin involved games.

Have seen Brych's cards now, many parts of the media reported that the first red card would have been wrong due to a dive. Neymar certainly wanted the free-kick, but to my mind, Crisanto's leg is clearly carting out and touches Neymar, the yellow can be given. But I think Brych's whole line was very pedantic, in Bundesliga, he would have never given a yellow card for that. However, his line was like that in the whole match and also in URU SEN. The penalty is the same, touch yes, but also a simulation in a way, both no mistakes for my taste. The second sending-off undoubtfully correct.

Problematic penalty call made by Roldán. It is matter of interpretation, but in my opinion, no deliberate handball and therefore no penalty either.

Brych performance not that terrible... just inconsistent... the first sending-off was exaggerated. He had a wrong approach concerning a latin vs latin teams... Brych struggled to mantain some control in a more physical match and I believe that he is going home.
