  1. We had a few guesses during the last days concerning Undiano's appointment (among others) on 12 or 13 February.
The question is and was: will he get Celtic-Juve or Shakhtar-Dortmund?
As you can see in the grid (-> UEFA Refereeing -> Referee Observers), Undiano was observed twice by Jean Lemmer, once in 2010/11 and once in 2011/12. I would be surprised if he is assessed by him for a third time. That means I now see clear tendencies that Undiano gets Celtic - Juve.

Where were these appointments found? Don't know where to look on the UEFA page.

  4. It's a source, the appointments will be made official on UEFA's site on Monday (at least the observers, referees already on Sunday).

  5. A small essence of UEL: Hugh Dallas will be in Newcastle-Metalist, Uilenberg in Atlético-Kazan. Rest follows tomorrow.

  6. A info about Borbalan that I got from a reliable source: he is still injured since he was replaced by Undiano in the friendly Italy-France on last November. Therefore, this is the reason of his absence. I thought that he was available now, but he isn't.
Serious injury to the knee: he is out also from Liga matches.

  7. Bad to hear that.

Perhaps you recognized that only 1 post is currently available on the main page. I don't know why, blogger is quite maverick sometimes. I try to fix it, the posts are not deleted, you can find them in the respective section.

I would like to read the last referees he watched.

    1. Two crucial decisions in the last minutes by Raczkowski: correct straight red card to an Italian player for a reckless and terrible tackle, hitting the legs of the opponent. A few later, correct penalty whistled to Germany.

Minimal distance, arm a bit wide.
