    4. Alon Yefet has a match on CL 3 round first leg, observed by Serbian Petrovic. Many appointments for him in the last times in UEFA competitions, if you remember he was a Premier Development referee until a few years ago. I think that he has still a chance to become Elite Development, even though already 40 y. o. (almost 41). What do you think? Surely an important observer, and he can stay on the lists until the end of 2017, so other 4 seasons.

    5. I think that Yefer gets these matches due to his experience. As you correctly wrote he was a Premier Development referee with a chance to reach Elite. But he lost it. So this combined with his age probably block his chance to be at the ED again.

with Panama - USA in final, Rodriguez is my guess, otherwise in case of Mexico - USA, my choice might have been Wijngaarde.

    1. There are actually 2 options for Panama - USA: Rodriguez and Aguilar. I prefer the second one.

  9. On CONCACAF:
I found it very remarkable that Louisville got a semifinal call-up despite his error in USA-SLV. I could have imagined Ricardo Morgan on Campbell's side.
CONCACAF won't get the chance again to appoint a Mexican official for the final in the next years, probably..if the preselected Mexican team does not get this final, then this could be also a small signal for the World Cup selection. I do not like the idea to see Aguilar or Campbell in a 2nd final though. Remember, referees also already got a semifinal and then the final in a row. Don't forget Enrico Wijngaarde, who has already reached a lot, got many matches (the highest amount of games) in the WC qualifiers and was only dropped from the pre list for mere politics..
I would like to see his progress rewarded. Wijngaarde, Morgan, Zumba, Quesada would be my wish, but I rather expect Rodriguez, Torrentera, Quintero and Aguilar.

    1. It seems that Aguilar is going to be appointed as final referee, according to several rumors. That would be really strange, the second final in a row after USA - Mexico in 2011. But let's wait for more detailed news.
