  1. Fernández Marin, Reijgwaart and Mcvicar should be really important observers for the respective officials..

    1. Niclas, Can you explain to me why Hans Reygwart is such an important observer for you? When Reygwart was a referee himself he never did very important games in europe, i can't undertand the reason how he become an important observer, when he never did important games, it's strange to me.

      Delete
    2. I am not sure but I think Reijgwaart is a good friend of Uilenberg and head of Cypriot referees. (by the way what's his correct name now? Hans Reygwaart? Hans Rejgwaart? Johannes Reijgwaart?)

      Delete
    3. Anonymous26/7/13 21:21

The correct name is J.P.Th. (Hans) Reygwart, where Hans probably is short for Johannes.

    4. Anonymous26/7/13 21:32

But it's probably 'Reijgwart' in his passport. Y replaced ij later.

    5. Anonymous26/7/13 21:40

Yep, totally right! It's should be Reijgwart.

    6. Thanks for clarification!

      Delete
    7. Absolutely right, Reijgwart now days is head of Cypriot referees, and a good friend of Uilenberg. When Uilenberg was referee boss in Holland, Reijgwart was his right hand.

  2. 2nd leg.
Fenerbahce - Salzburg: Pawel Gil (POL) observed by Herbert Fandel (GER). A clear message..

    1. Yes, probably the last chance for Gil.

  3. The next couple of months will be very important for Gil. Promotion in December is probable.

  4. I am curious to see the observer for Mateu Lahoz.

  6. There is a mistake here.
BATE is eliminated, Shakter will play against Skenderbeu, a team from Albania.

    1. You are right, Chefren. A stupid mistake actually since I wanted to upload the appointments quick.

  7. Serhiy Boiko after his very good under 21 tournament, is receiving remarkable appointments and he is on a safe road now, in order to get promoted soon. I watched something of his previous match, Cliftonville - Celtic, ended in a 0-3. Nothing really challenging, a penalty appeal for handball, but it was a minor situation, then everything was easy to handle.
Keeping on in this way, he can dream to be appointed in CL at the end of Group Stage, as debut...

  8. Zwayer will be observed by Marc Batta, Brummeier has Mateu Lahoz.

  9. Updated with second leg appointments.

    1. Am I wrong or Paul Allaerts is becoming an important observer in the last times?
      And also Antonov from Moldova.

      Delete
    2. Don't forget that Allaerts was a Premier referee for many seasons and has done many important matches. He also was FO in several matches with FdB. With his experience this is not strange.

      Delete
  10. Ivan Kruzliak in his prevous match (FH - Ekranas) was observed by Trentalange. A vey intensive game with 8 YC, a straight red and a penalty. I think that if he did well (impossible to find the whole match online) now he is clearly ready for more important matches. This time he will be observed by Ryszard Wójcik (POL), maybe not a big name, anyway the important thing is to get more and more appointments. As said for Boiko, he is another name which we could see in CL group stage soon.

  13. Paok - Metalist: Van Boekel.

Good performance by the whole refereeing team. The referee had a good foul detection and card management. He made some small mistakes that didn't affect the outcome since the most difficult situation (penalty for Metalist min. 42') was totally correct. In my eyes a performance worthy of 8.4.

    1. I agree on the penalty call, watched on youtube.
Correct penalty because the player might have removed his arm.

  14. I watched 1st half of Basel - M. Tel Aviv live and I will download the 2nd half.

There is a doubtful situation for Marciniak (min. 6) with a possible penalty on Stellar. I will watch it again and prepare a detailed report.

    Nordsjelland - Zenit S. P.
    Referee Alon Yefet.
If you watch the whole video (about 6 mins.) you will notice many borderline ON/OFFSIDE situations, including the goal scored by Zenit, which was in my opinion a very good NO FLAG. Always the same kind of action: players starting from the defenders line and having important chances to score. Assistants heavily challenged.
Furthermore, minute 04:30: penalty appeal by home team.
    What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  16. No penalty in my opinion. If there is a contact with the hand it is still ok to let the play flow I think.
I try to report on Michael Koukoulakis.

  17. Apoel - Maribor 1-1: S. Boiko.

Penalty appeal by APOEL at min. 93'

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dr-7Aw5mKkg

    What do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  18. He could have avoided that stuff by whistling an offensive foul before this situation developed. I think there is a contact on the striker's leg, at least dive is a bit harsh.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree. It isn't a dive for sure. However IMO the attacker seeks the contact. But if he had given the offensive foul before everything would have stopped.

    1. I watched Hüseyin Göçek. The match overall was not really challenging, the referee had to face a penalty appeal at 70' when a handball was committed in area. Correct NO WHISTLE because both hands were in a consistent position, volume of the body was not increased. Nevertheless, here and there some crudities for Gocek. Missed several situations, being lenient. Three cards were given for mandatory situations, the last (90+3) was given with a remarkable delay. There are some points for improvement, he should appear sure and firm in his decisions, anyway at the end an expected level.
      Assistants faultless and good teamwork.
Mark will be 8.3 I think. Report tomorrow or in the next days.

  20. Antonio Mateu Lahoz had to deal with an intense match. Difficulty "quite challenging" I would say. Not his best evening and he sometimes had luck he still had the game under a certain level of control. To be reviewed: a quite clear contact in the box, probably a missing penalty to Lyon here when the score was still 0-0 and a serious foul play he only assessed as yellow card offense. The Suisse player was more than lucky there (#14). Report soon.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pawel Gil was good. He correctly rejected a penalty appeal by Fenerbahce at the first half and he issued all the mandatory YC's. A performance of expected level.

Both his assistants correctly disallowed 2 Salzburg's goals (1 in each half).

  22. Nice to hear that.
Nikolai Yordanov has replaced Stanislav Todorov in the match in Iceland.

Always nice to see gumienny whistling. Not a difficult evening, but he was very good (as always). The more i see him whistling, the more i think uefa is incompetent (not elite, what a shame).
