It was said that Steinhaus' first penalty was slightly outside the box. But I did not watch the game.

  10. Katalin Kulcsár very impressive performance. Unfortunately one offside for Iceland:/
Yesterday, Germany had another bad referee in in Big Tournament(Cha Sung Mi in 2011)- Silvia Tea Spinelli missed two penalties for Germany. Her performance was very unconvincing. I believe she will be sent home.

      Thank you in advance.

With the arm in that position, it's always penalty, even blatant...

It was a weak performance, also besides the penalty situations. Her foul detection was random and card management not really consistent. Mark should be around 7.2.

Prediction for the rest of MD3:

    2. Susanna Carina Vitulano was selected as fourth official after the withdrawal of a "Greek official" (Mitsi), you can read the news here:
      http://www.aialivorno.it/aia_livorno_news.asp?id=969
So for this reason, if nothing extra-ordinary happened (injury or other problems) it was a clear choice by committee, after the first match.
And now, Vitulano, which was already lucky to be there just as reserve, has this big chance to officiate a match such as Spain-France.

      Delete
    3. Since Mitsi couldn't attend (due to illness) the Committee selected Dorcioman from Romania as an active referee and Vitulano as FO.

  13. Lots of discussions on Swedish TV yesterday: was Germany's 2nd goal against Iceland was offside or onside? Stop the film at 0:20 - in my opinion onside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9kNx7eg7OM

  16. So far: (I have not seen all matches):

Palmqvist: she had a very easy match, she should get something more challenging to show her skills(she is very experienced so she will)

Kateryna Monzul: She gave warnings and very often explained her decisions to the players. Her style maybe bit irritating but at least she knows what she wants. Good foul detection.

Kulcsár: she has a very good one AR: Sian Massey and during the match one visible foul was detected by fourth official:
Kirsi Heikkinen. Overall impressive performance. I hope she will keep the level.

Kirsi Heikkinen: calm, great foul detection, nearly no mistakes, as always her style amaze me. Great ARs.

  17. Thanks for this synopsis.
In my opinion, Heikkinen should be this year's favourite to handle the final. She would deserve it.

  20. Very difficult. Perhaps the touch even continues onto the line, but it seems to be outside. But who does want to decide that? I don't want to protect Steinhaus, this was exceptionally difficult to see though.

  22. Strange that Ratajová was excluded from MD3 and that Rachynska took her place. I have noticed that she disallowed an Italian goal for offside in ITA-DEN, but it was said this had been a correct decision.

    1. Ratajova had two matches on MD 2 and Rachynska none. So, it probably should only even out.

  23. MD3, SWE-ITA: A poor 1st half performance from Team Katalin Kulcsár: One missed penalty, a few bad offside calls, a few missed cautions. At least five major mistakes.
