  2. FIFA has revealed CAF and AFC appointments for September qualifying matches.

Many preselected trios... and in my opinion a sonorous match for Bernard Camille (SEY): Ivory Coast - Morocco.

    1. Only Alioum is missing from the appointments. All the other preselected officials have 1 match. Many interesting names.

    2. Now also CONMEBOL and CONCACAF appointments are revealed.
Only UEFA is missing, as always... I don't know why they act in this way if they have allowed all the federations to publish these info.

Anyway, back on topic (EL) due to Fenerbahçe ban from European competitions, a draw will be held tomorrow in the morning, including all the losing teams of this play off and a further place will be then randomly assigned.

      There weren't other solutions...

    4. Yes, that's it. Sorry, Wolfgang, but Brych will go to Brazil.

    2. He went into the challenge with studs up, stretched foot and no chance and try to play the ball. Even though the replays do not reveal whether Henriksen touched his opponent totally, I principally support red cards for this type of challenges, no matter when they might occur.

He first gave a YC but after seeing the greek player pointing at his sock, which was slightly damaged he suddenly gave a red.

    4. Niclas, Chefren, see 23' Thun-Partizan! Offside ( Mitrović )? IMO, Partizan is damaged! AR1 Grilli...

    7. It is a harsh reality of serbian football, the situation in the FSS and the poor quality of the domestic league. Champion Serbia lost to the tenth team of the Swiss championship. One thing is indisputable- referee Milorad Mažić the first star of serbian football!
      Best regards from Belgrade!

    9. Can't believe... too blatant mistake IMHO.

    10. Srry I must be honest, Gautier doesn't deserve to be an Elite development referee officiating in EL and CL.
Of course this isn't his fault, but I would prefer Turpin.
When Lannoy will retire, not a big future for French international refereeing.

      Delete
    11. I would like to see a video of Gautier showing first YC, then RC... Someone has such a video?

    12. Anonymous30/8/13 23:44

Chefren, I don't agree with you concerning Gautier. He showed several weaknesses yesterday but globally speaking he's pretty good. I agree that Turpin is better, that's for sure.
But when Lannoy retires, either Gautier or Turpin will be the "number one". And for me, both of them are better than him. And much better considering how much Turpin has already achieved at only 31 years old for example.
In a nutshell, Gautier is better than what he showed yesterday and Turpin is very probably the most talentuous referee that France has had for a very long time.

He also awarded a penalty after a clear dive. Very unfortunate performance by Gautier tonight.

Update: the match is interrupted after a fire in the stadium. The scrowd is being evacuated.

    3. Update from AZ - Atromitos.

The match is officially interrupted and will most likely continue tomorrow from min. 59. Waiting confirmation from UEFA.

    4. And what about the drawing?
It's impossible to make it without knowing a team involved, this is important for the pots and the nationality of the team.

    5. UEFA decided to continue the match tomorrow at 11:00 CET. The match will resume from min. 59'.

  6. In general I can confirm a pretty good performance shown by Martin Hansson in Stuttgart-Rijeka. Nothing controversial.

This was the only interesting call to make, in my opinion a fair tackle (ball was played) but surely borderline (forgot this occasion in the original comment, thanks to Chefren for reminding me).

Interesting statistics in Fiorentina, if we believe UEFA: Fiorentina only caused three free kicks but got four yellow cards against them..

  13. Has anyone seen Kassai?
He issued 11 yellow cards, maybe Dallas told him before the match, he was too lenient in the past...

  14. Same question also form my side: anyone knows how perfomed Kassai under Dalla's eyes ? Can we see him again in Cl and at FIFA WC2014 ? How was he judged ?
And what about Thomson under Marko's evaluation ?
Yesterday was recovering examination from them.....

    1. Difficult to judge it. I think, the ball was touched at first. However, I can be wrong.

      Delete
    2. Yes difficult, that's why I believe in hard times and very important situations (goal) there should be another referee outside the field who checks situation in replay on a screen and tells main referee about it. How simple is that? doesn't take much time and it can solve many problematic goals. If not then bookmakers and some matches sellers would buy matches and that's not a fair game.
