    2. Geiger hasn't gone to U20, U17 or Confed Cup. In the US, we assume he will be the CONCACAF representative to for the CWC. Unless I am mistaken, only Geiger and Velasco Carballo are "missing" a FIFA tournament in 2013 among the World Cup candidates.

    3. I agree with you. My prediction is:

      UEFA: Carlos Velasco (ESP)
      CONCACAF: Mark Geiger (USA)
      CONMEBOL: Wilmar Roldán (COL)
      CAF: Bakary Gassama (GAM)
      AFC: Alireza Faghani (IRN)
      OFC: Peter O'Leary (NZL)

      Reserve:
      CAF: Bouchaib El Ahrach (MAR)

    4. By the way, Jair Marrufo did okay in CRO-MAR (U17). However, he missed some clear tackles and YCs for stretched legs. Boria and Morgan with a very good performance.

  2. Stark:so far, young up-and-coming referees to under 17 tournaments were sent. Obviously they found a farewell gift for stark before his age limit of 45!

  3. Huata,& Vasquez non CWC, because both are WC-U-17 in ZEA-2013

    1. Good first half by Rodriguez. The first two cards given were correct, the third a bit harsh, anyway still acceptable.
Correct penalty whistled in favor of Brazil, match played in a empty stadium without any pressure, of course at this level... and the score is already 3-0.

    2. Really nothing extraordinary to report in this second half, considering the score (6-1, easy going match) but there is an interesting situation: 80' a Brazilian player is booked for dive in area. For me, questionable decision.

    1. To officiate at WC2014Brazil they must have refereed a FIFA tournament before (Confederations Cup, U20WC, u17WC etc) that is why they are appointed to this UAE tournament so yes, some will be at Brazil. I think whoever gets the final will be a definite

  7. Dear all

It’s (almost) time for FIFA WC2014 selection !!
    Here my guess/prediction:
    Assuming that:
    1) Only 1 referee per country will be selected to officiate in Brasil
    2) FIFA will keep the neutrality confederation rule (so few European referees otherwise any match between Uefa and Comnebol will be officiate by Irmatov and Aguilar ….. 
    3) 30 officials: 24 of them as referees and 6 of them acting only as 4th official
    Here the names:
CONCACAF: 4 Aguilar (SLV) - Garcia Orozco (Mex) – Geiger (Usa) – Moreno Salazar (Pan)
COMNEBOL: 7: Arias (Par) – Carrillo Casanova (Per) - Osses (Chi) – Roldan (Col) – Ricci (Bra) – Vazquez Brohetas (Uru) – Vera Rodruiguez (Ecu)
CAF: 4: Alioum (Cam) – Bennet (SAF) - Hamoudi (Alg) – Papa Gassama (Gui) –
AFC: 4: Irmatov (Uzb) – Nishimura (Jap) - Shukrallah (Bah) – Williams (Aus)
    OFC: 1: O’ leary (NZE)
UEFA:10: Proenca O.A.G. (Por) – Undiano Mallenco (Spa) – Webb (eng) – Brych (ger) – Kuipers (Ned) – Rizzoli (ita) – Cakir (Tur) – Kassai (Hun) – Skomina (Slv) – Mazic (Ser)

    2^ Hpo
    1) Only best referees: no limitation on official per country
    2) FIFA will keep the neutrality confederation rule
    3) 30 officials: 24 of them as referees and 6 of them acting only as 4th official
    Here the names:
CONCACAF: 4 Aguilar (SLV) - Garcia Orozco (Mex) – Geiger (Usa) – Rodriguez Moreno (Mex)
COMNEBOL: 7: Arias (Par) – Carrillo Casanova (Per) - Osses (Chi) – Roldan (Col) – Ricci (Bra) – Vazquez Brohetas (Uru) – Vera Rodruiguez (Ecu)
CAF: 3: Bennet (SAF) - Hamoudi (Alg) – Papa Gassama (Gui) –
AFC: 4: Irmatov (Uzb) – Nishimura (Jap) - Shukrallah (Bah) – Williams (Aus)
    OFC: 1: O’ leary (NZE)
UEFA:11: Proenca O.A.G. (Por) – Undiano Mallenco (Spa) – Webb (eng) – Brych (ger) – Kuipers (Ned) – Rizzoli (ita) – Cakir (Tur) – Kassai (Hun) – Skomina (Slv) – Velasco Carballo (Spa) – Stark (Ger)
