  1. Collina on the stands in Florence, to observe Zelinka along with Reijgwart.

    1. It seems that UEFA wants Zelinka to replace Kralovec as the new Czech Elite.

      Delete
    2. Why "replace"? Kralovec is not that old (1977). Isn't possible to see two Czech officials in the Elite?
Do you see poor performance by Kralovec?

      Delete
    3. In Czech Kralovec is actually better than Zelinka. Zelinka will be probably promoted to 1st category soon, because Dagmar Damkova recommend his in commitee. Czech Republic has actually four very good referees: Kralovec, Kovarik, Prihoda and Zelinka. Prihoda is the oldest of them so no big future. Kovarik, probably better than Zelinka, is in 1st category and I hope he stay in 1st category, because he is the same quality as Kralovec. Zelinka is the youngest, but of course very good referee.

    4. Perhaps replace wasn't the best choice of words. However I can't think that Czech Republic can have 2 Elite referees. Don't forget that the Elite category consists only of 22 referees. Zelinka is sure for 1st category and after what I saw from Kovarik at the WC Qualifier Greece - Liechtenstein, my feeling is that Kovarik should be demoted.

    5. one crucial mistake = demoted. It's impossible.

      Delete
    6. What about 1 crucial mistake, 1 missed 2nd YC and several other problems (like mandatory YC's?

      A performance under 7.7.

      Delete
    7. Kovarik had no crucial mistakes in that game in GRE. It is a game of opinions remember...

      Delete
    8. A missed penalty for handball is a crucial mistake?

  2. Fernando Teixeira (PAOK - Maccabi Haifa) with the most difficult match.

He had a penalty appeal for PAOK around min. 25 and he gave 2 penalties at the last 5' of the first half.

I am looking for a video with all situations.

  3. Jozef Marko on Lyon-Rijeka, observing Artur Soares Dias, does it mean something?

    Luís Almeida

    1. They probably see him as the Portuguese referee of the future, when Benquerença and Proença will retire in a few time.

Zelinka overall a very good impression. He handled the match without problems, no big calls or crucial situations, but several mandatory YC correctly given. Always close to action, good fitness.
I would say a good performance under the eyes of Collina and that's a very important achievement for the future.

  4. PFA criticise Ovidiu Hategan for failing to follow UEFA procedures.

  5. I hope this video is available for you. No comment needed about Sergey Ivanov decision in Trabzonspor - Legia...:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBRt3NLjDDs

As for Hategan - if he didn't ensure the stadium announcement, he should be punished for did nothing with the racism act at the stadium... Unacceptable behaviour of 'fans', but also unacceptable lack of referee's reaction on this!

    1. The video is not still available. What happened?

      Delete
    2. Unfortunately, the video is not available for me as well. It seems UEFA have blocked it on copyright grounds.

      Delete
    3. Hubert - I was watching the game and I saw Yaya Toure approach Hategan more than once. I'm suprised Hategan did absolutely nothing.

    4. On vimeo it should be OK:

About Hategan... It's more than decisive mistake for me. Disgusting :/

    5. I just watched the incident, OMG...

    6. Very blatant penalty missed but here also the main referee Bzborodov was able to see...

      Delete
    7. Yeah, but having so perfectly positioned AAR you are not so concentrated on the action in his area of vicinity. I even had a feeling Bezborodov wanted to whistle it, but got immediate assistance... For sure the mark of AAR2 not ref will be decreased.

  6. Ivan Kruzliak sent off three players. First one for stopping a promising attack (2nd YC), second one for simulation (2nd YC) and third one for violent conduct before a corner (elbow offense, RC). The first two dismissals were spot-on, the last one more debatable but imo acceptable. I try to write a report on his performance.

    1. Ivan Kruzliak SVK acted very precisely and partially with his cards covered. So was a mistake 2nd YC Mane (42.) for simulation, which was clearly fouled.

      Delete
    2. Mané started to fall before the contact and did not even complain for a second. Correct decision.

      Delete
    3. Hello Niclas, where could we read that report You mentioned about Kružliak? Thx
