Team Eriksson is appointed for a match in the first round of the Swedish Premier League on Sunday 30 March. The "big match" of the Swedish Premier League is played on Monday - and it would actually have been very suitable that team Eriksson got that match. They didn't, and instead got an extremely low profile game on Sunday. This might be an indication that they are unavailable for the Monday match due to UEFA duties this week. Let's wait and see...

    1. Curious: Martin Hansson, Jonas Eriksson and Michael Lerjéus are all appointed on Sunday. Pandzic is away at the U17 on Sunday as well, and Strömbergsson and Johannesson. So who will referee AIK-IFK? Andreas Ekberg is the only remaining FIFA referee...

    2. Edit: and Strömbergsson and Johannesson will accompany Eriksson on his (hypothetical) international game.

By the way, I checked Eriksson's last CL assignment, and it states that Markus Strömbergsson accompanied him as AAR. From what I can see, Markus is no longer FIFA, while Martin Strömbergsson still is. So is Markus still following Eriksson while not being FIFA-listed, or has he been replaced?

Yes, Marcus keeps going as an AAR even after he ceased being FIFA listed. Eriksson probably likes working with him.

Johannesson referees AIK-IFK on Monday. So I guess it is unlikely that there will be a match for Eriksson this team, unless Martin Strömbergsson takes Johannesson's usual spot as AAR. Time will tell.

Velasco Carballo, will handle Betis - Malaga of La Liga, on Monday 31, one day before that Machester - Bayern. My question is: Could be in Manchester one day after? Thanks

Could someone help me out here. Is this offside or not?

    1. My call: the Madrid attacker was in an offside position when the ball was played. He did not dispute the ball to the defender (ie go towards the ball, pressure the defender or challenge him for the ball). So no offside here.

He then received the ball from a "deliberate play" by a defender, and so did not commit an offside infraction.
Therefore, according to the new interpretation of the Laws, no offside would have been correct.

  9. Rocchi is appointed as AAR,for a match on next Monday in serie A (Livorno-Inter). This means that he is surely out from Champions League, he can be anyway appointed on Thursday for EL.
