  1. Curious case for Canada: Mathieu Bourdeau has not refereed a single MLS game yet (only as 4th official), while his colleague Drew Fischer has been on the MLS referee roster for the past two seasons. And Bourdeau got the FIFA badge but not Fischer (nor did Geoff Gamble, who is three years older than both of them).

  2. Decision of the executive committee of FIFA, the meeting that occurred today: "Refereeing: regarding the age limit for FIFA international referees, the Executive Committee approved the proposal from the Referees Committee that every FIFA referee over the age of 45 shall be carefully evaluated by the Referees Committee every year according to technical assessments, medical examinations and fitness tests"

  3. Gavin Harris (1986) from Scotland has lost the FIFA badge, being replaced by another assistant referee.
I guess that the reason for that is Italy - Slovakia, otherwise there aren't explanation, he is still so young.

    1. Was the Italy v Serbia match covered by one of your observers, i dont remember reading the report although i do remember the UEFA observer was Mark Batta of France

    2. Hi Anonymous.
No, unluckily this match was not covered by our observers. It was a under 21 EURO 2015 Play off, very very important, with Batta as observer.
I think Gavin Harris admitted his faults and now he has been replaced on the FIFA list.

    3. Gavin did indeed admit his one fault in this match and was marked accordingly. The referee however was lambasted regarding his overall performance and was marked accordingly - yet has kept his FIFA place. Someone needed to pay for this match and it wasnt the young up and coming assistant who had good consistent marks.
