      Very soft penalty.

    2. IMO Vidal makes of course more than necessary of it.
But the holding/grab before that is effective and clear. Can be given.

To be honest, I don't think this penalty can be given. This contact ist never enough for a penalty. I can see a try to grab which doesn't work. It was simply a wrong decision for me!

The second yellow card in the end was also a very harsh call, neither tactical nor reckless foul for me!

      Not penalty.

And after penalty above Messi not signaled. Bad Pitanaq.

    7. Did not see the match. If this light foul criteria was consistently applied throughout whole match, than it was penalty kick, but in that case the refereeing was poor.

    8. And yes, perfect onside call prior to second goal...

What are the communication kits being used? Not the normal ones...

    1. Nike from 2013/14 was the top, I guess the shorts would be aswell
But it was my understanding that it was the 'Penalty' kits worn in CONMEBOL competition
Is anyone getting a sense of de ja vu with the shorts? ;-)

Please don't tell me, that I saw again the referee wearing GREY shorts? Didn't like it in Champions League and I still don't like it now!

By the way, the penalty was a very very very soft call by Pitana.

An only decision makes no bad referee. A really soft penalty call but in my opinion you can give it. If it is that clever to give is another story. Nevertheless: In my opinion Pitana is one of the best referees of the world.

And what about the communication system? Referees and assistant referees ear piece/microphone?

I don't agree with the decision to retake the penalty, if you do that, all penalties must be retaken.

    3. ECU#8 enters the semicircle quite early and is only ~5m away when the ball is kicked. That's more than the usual infringements and may justify a repetition.
Both penalties in the match are difficult to evaluate. In the first situation, you could say "well detected" or "too soft". The question is, whether the contact more is the defender's or the attacker's fault.
In the second situation it doesn't become totally clear, whether there is contact (probably yes) or not, which would mean only indirect free kick.
