Busacca's mission to destroy officiating at all FIFA events continues. Or can it be that maybe the committee is so clueless that they simply pull names from a hat?

Fahad Al Mirdasi for Nigeria vs Germany? Really? Did they not watch Brasil vs Hungary? The man is simply not that good. He may be great in Asia. But on the world stage he has been quite poor.

Oh well, we'll get to see another disaster in Christchurch. Get your popcorn ready.

Al Mirdasi was good in BRA - HUN. Committee thinks the same.

I didn't know that FIFA had people commenting on this site. Because you must be employed by FIFA to spew such lies.
"Al Mirdasi was good in BRA - HUN. Committee thinks the same."
      Thanks for the laugh!!!

    4. He had some crucial mistake (more penalty situation) I think he didnt feel the FASTER game, than in the Saud Arabien Division, because he had more mistake in field. (Firtst yellow card the HUN#3 etc..)

Some crucial mistakes? How many, sorry but I really don't understand. Do yu really want to blame him or AR for the ghost goal? Penalty can be discussed, but then? I think you have an obsession after this match.

Stop questioning the quality of Fahd Al-Mirdasi. It's ridiculous and simply boring. Fortunately, you are not in FIFA Referees Committee.

I agree. Some people think to be better than FIFA Referees Committee. So why you are there on this blog and not in New Zealand? Al Mirdasi was appointed again? There will be reasons and assessments for that.

You're right, Al Mirdasi is certainly lucky that I am not part of the Committee. Because he would have been on plane back to the KSA long ago.
Unlike those on the committee and quite a few here, I don't make excuses for the referee's nor am I an apologist.
I'd bring much more transparency to the Committee and I'd accept the implementation of technology.

    9. Technology is already implemented.
Transparency does not mean sending referees home with the first plane but frankly analyzing the roots of potential mistakes. Parts of us also agreed with most calls Al Mirdasi made and we are not involved in FIFA.
You had your observation, others have their observations. Where is it written that yours is more valid? I propose that you neutrally watch GER-NGA.
But I agree that at times Busacca's moves harm refereeing more than improving it.

When other referee's have been better and yet FIFA rewards those who were clearly poor, that's preposterous.
But then again, what can we expect from FIFA and from Busacca who has obviously done more harm than good to the level of officiating. Hopefully he (Busacca) is also caught up in the ongoing investigation, and he is shown the door.

Somebody asked for predictions for the final?
With CONCACAF teams getting eliminated early. It is crystal clear that the final will go to Cesar Ramos Palazuelos from Mexico. He has by far been the best referee at the tournament. He's fit, he shows it on the pitch, and all of his calls have been spot on.

    1. How could Cesar Arturo Ramos Palazuelos become selected for this tournament after having gained his FIFA badge only in 2014?

      Because he is that good.
Stop questioning why or how and simply sit back and enjoy his quality performances on the pitch.

00:33 advantage leading to goal, very good to see
01:07 penalty appeal by GER for deliberate handball, we need a replay, merely based on this video I would say correct decision to play on...
