What is the difference between the Group stage and the Domestic champions path?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Group Stage = as usual the CL participants' U20 teams.
Domestic champions path = the domestic U20 champions are able to participate as well via an extra path in the competition, this year's Youth League thus has more teams than in the past.

The domestic champions path is for top 32 nations; if that nations domestic youth league winner has already qualified through their first team for UYL group stage, then the next country in the rankings gets the place, and so on. That is why domestic champions path includes teams from countries ranked below 32 for example. In the spring the two parts of the competition merge together.
In UYL the referee observer can be of same country as home team

2 crucial mistakes, 2 missing cautions. Not much room for interpretation if you deem Eriksson responsible for that.

Lahoz missed clear handball and penalty (possible RC) by Godin for Barcelona. Very poor his performance. Before that he missed clear penalty for Atletico - handball by Mascerano. Totaly below expectation

I haven't watched whole match, but I heard the same from reporter.

    3. 4 penalty area scenes for Lahoz. At least 2 for me are clear. Godin's one is also a RC for DOGSO.

    4. Lahoz very bad, indeed, in such important match. 2-3 clear situations, you can not ask for more clearer. Also, I think that Oliver is improving himself every match, and I believe that he should be given some important matches in Europe, too, not only in England.

Mazic in whole his team perfect in quite challenging match - the biggest in Serbian football, between Red Star and Partizan.
