    1. Indeed, a copy-paste-error. Thanks!

Before the tournament, I thought Frankowski or Zganec would be the most probable final candidates. I guess it will be Zganec now. Maybe UEFA chooses one of the quarterfinal referees though.

    4. BTW Buzas probably won't get the final. Crucial mistake in the semifinal, wrongly disallowed offside goal (tight, but level).

  4. Dynan and Spiteri released after QF, assistants will come from SF pairings

    1. Busy days for Todorov... Today GER-ESP in Azerbaijan, but actually today also in Toulon. I guess he has been replaced by someone else from Bulgaria?

    2. Not for now. Perhaps the Bulgarian crew will be appointed only when Todorov will arrive to France.

    4. It seems to me that the ball hits only the left elbow, that is absolutely close to body. In case of touch by the other arm, well, I think it should have been penalty.

    5. That hand is fully stick to the body, so: no penalty. Of course, it somehow increases his body surface but the player can't cut off his hand. He did everything to avoid contact with that hand.

My assessment would be different if the ball had hit the second hand (increased body surface when blocking a shot) but in many countries it would be the same also in that case due to small distance, ball to hand and according to many peoples natural BOTH hands position.

  7. Correct key decision by Frankowski and AR1 Todorov.. clear handball penalty for Spain and then correctly awarded indirect free-kick to Germany as the executer touched the ball again from the goal post without other contact by a defender.

    1. And now correct RC for DOGSO to German keeper. Very interesting that Frankowski waited just for a while (without whistling) for a possible advantage, but then when he realized that it was impossible for the player, due to the effect of the foul, to reach the ball, he correctly whistled, showing the RC. I think it was the best possible management.
