5 Comments:

  1. Minute 67': I think a soft penalty decision by Vertenten in favor of Germany.

  2. Overall, Bart Vertenten made a very focussed and prevention-orientated impression. Good control, very eager in terms of positioning and impression management. Maybe he could communicate a bit more.

In the beginning of the match, he was a bit too lenient. It was good that he tolerated physical play..but he also missed some clear fouls.

The 1st penalty, as stated by Chefren, was very soft, but no mistake. It did not fully suit to his line though. The 2nd penalty was fully correct.

Assistants were good, too, AR1 again with a very good onside before a goal.

All in all 8.3 level for Vertenten.

  3. Netherlands-France will be decisive on MD3. Will be interesting to see whether UEFA appoints a Belgian ref for it.
