  1. Good appointments for Oliver and Atkinson, but why Friend and Moss as AAR's surely Pawson and Probert would be better?

    1. Anonymous9/6/15 18:23

      Holidays? Unavailabilty? Injury?

  2. Anonymous9/6/15 11:29

Should we expect lot of cards on Croatia vs Italy and BIH vs Israel?

    1. Anonymous9/6/15 15:00

      Velasco Carballo and Eriksson.

    2. Anonymous9/6/15 17:48

      Haha, ops.... I didn't see!

    3. Anonymous9/6/15 21:47

Do Ruddy Buquet stand a chance against Clément Turpin for Euro 2016 ?

    4. Clément Turpin is appointed now for u21 European Championship in Czech Republic between 17 June and 30 June

  3. Rosetti meets finally Collum in Reykjavik after the cancelled appointment in Munchen for Bayern - Shakhtar.
Among the appointed referees for Saturday and Sunday we have Pisani (MLT), Göçek (TUR) and Özkahya (TUR).

    1. Pisani is a new first category referee, not?

    2. Anonymous9/6/15 14:14

      He is.

    3. Well, I believe is is either LIE-MOL oder EST-SMR for him.

  4. Wow. Atkinson must really be on the committee's good books. Another great appointment.

    1. And a great observer, very surprisingly. What can Vassaras be observing now? Atkinson's got his final already; unless they plan to select Clatts or Atkinson for the Euro (which would be surprising)?

    2. The next six months will be very important for Messrs Atkinson and Clattenburg; no room for error now.

Though I do believe UEFA should take both men to France...

    3. Anonymous9/6/15 18:00

I think that Collina hate Clattenburg. No?

    4. Anonymous9/6/15 18:54

No. Why? Elite referee, Super Cup final, chances for EURO 2016 and WC 2018. CL final and EL final in the future Where is the problem?

  5. Anonymous9/6/15 16:31

Who do you think will referee Ireland vs Scotland?

    1. Observer is Manuel Lopez Fernández of Spain. I could imagine Rizzoli or Kralovec (in that order).

  6. Today's friendlies:

Jakob Kehlet, Henrik Larsen, Heine Sørensen, Jens Maae (DEN)

    GEORGIA - UKRAINE (Linz, Austria)
Markus Hameter, Roland Braunschmidt, Stefan Kühr, Harald Lechner (AUT)

    LUXEMBOURG - MOLDOVA (Luxembourg)
Daniel Siebert, Guido Kleve, Markus Häcker (GER)

    UEFA U19 Final Tournament Draw

Group A: Greece, Austria, France, Ukraine

Group B: Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Spain

    1. Looks slightly imbalanced..

    2. What do you think who will be select this tournament?

    3. Anonymous10/6/15 10:26

Prediction for Referees is difficult. Many countries can provide a referee. However since Spain, Germany and France are there, we can expect a referee from England and/or Italy.

    4. Anonymous10/6/15 10:27

It would be a good opportunity for Oliver.

    5. Oliver has already been, no? 2013 edition IIRC.

    6. Anonymous10/6/15 22:41

      So Taylor.

    7. Oliver even did the SF of EURO U19 2013.

      Taylor could be an option.

    8. Anonymous10/6/15 22:47

I think that Oliver attended this tournament too early. Nothing followed by him.

    9. Taylor is confirmed.

    10. FO's for the final tournament will be Andreas Pappas and Athanasios Giahos from the host nation.

    11. I would guess

  8. UEFA U 21 EC My predection for MD1

    Fourth Official:Ondrej Pelikan (CZE)

    1. Anonymous10/6/15 11:04

Wouldn't it make more sense to appoint the 5th/6th officials of the teams as fourth officials, just like at EURO 2012? The predictions you do make sense to me.

    2. I would swap Sidiropoulos with Estrada, would rather select Turpin's and/or Makkelie's AR1/2 as fourth officials in Group A and then agree, too :)

    3. The Czech fourth officials are assistant?

    4. Yes Márk Szántó, with additional assistant referees, you should appoint assistant referees as fourth officials.

    5. I didn't know. But the last week Onderj Pelikan was the Assistant between Hungary and Lithuania in friendly match.

    6. I would say
      CZE-DEN: Estrada, 4th: Efthymiadis
      GER-SER: Marciniak, 4th: Mencl
      ITA-SWE: Karasev, 4th: Pelikan
      ENG-POR: Makkelie, 4th: Cano

  9. Anonymous10/6/15 16:41

What do you think, who will be in Czech republic-Germany in EURO U21?

  10. What do you think, should USA #14 have received a different colour than yellow for his tackle with studs shown against the German midfielder?

    1. Anonymous10/6/15 21:29

    2. The tackle is on/above the ankle, therefore red for SFP is surely possible, and strictly seen, the correct decision.
But then there is also common sense, nobody wanted it, it's a friendly and so on.

    3. Yes I know about that, the typical argumentation "not in a friendly"... maybe that is also a reason why too many players get injured in nonsense friendly matches.

    4. Video:

    5. Anonymous11/6/15 08:41

For me, it should be the other way around: because it is a friendly, why would you make such a dangerous tackle? The outcome of the match is not important at all, so why make these kind of fouls? Only one option: red card.

    6. Anonymous11/6/15 09:13

I really like your reasoning, Anonymous.

  11. For me yellow card is fine. Yes there is speed and it's borderline yellow / red. Leg was nog totally stretched and there were no complains at all. I know this is not a argument, but in this friendly everybody accepted it. I support this yellow. But would Makkelie have showed a red card I would support it also.

    1. nog = not (totally stretched)

  12. Anonymous12/6/15 18:38

Oliver missed a penalty to Turkey minute 37.

    1. Anonymous12/6/15 18:53

Another penalty was missed minute 11.

  13. Atkinson with a correct and obvious penalty call in favor of Croatia, I think Friend, AAR2, cooperated. Very good.

    1. But a few later Mullarkey with a wrongly disallowed goal.

    2. And Croatia's goal? offside or not?

    3. Regular goal, in my opinion, excellent NO FLAG by Child. Mandzukic was on level with the ball. Buffon was booked after this goal because Croatia scored when four Italian players were still protesting with AR1 Mullarkey for the previous disallowed goal. A particular situation, but of course players have their faults for that.

    4. Please have a comment on that...

    5. Anonymous13/6/15 09:28

This does not deserve a comments on this blog, to be honest.

  14. Anonymous14/6/15 08:57

http://www.ceskatelevize.cz/ivysilani//10114956110-fotbal/215471291123003-island-cesko/ I think Collum missed penalty for Czech in 9´ minute. What do you think

  15. Anonymous15/6/15 20:05

the cancelled italian goal can be seen here:
