  1. OT
Question for administrators of this blog?
When the referee observer appointments for UCL will be published?
    Thanks in advance.

  2. Mateu Lahoz will be the referee of the France - Germany on 13th November in Paris. Clos Gómez will be the fourth official. Also, Juan Martínez Munuera will be the 4th official of the Spain - England match.

  3. Topic to follow: One of MLS' major stars, Jermaine Jones (played at Frankfurt, Leverkusen, Schalke) was ejected by Mark Geiger yesterday for sprinting 40 yards to protest and making contact with the referee. It will be interesting to see to what level referees are protected by the League and Jones suspended.

Famously, MLS played on words last time a star assaulted a referee (Clint Dempsey in Open Cup, found guilty of "referee abuse", not "referee assault", the latter entailing a 6 game minimum suspension) to ensure that he would be able to play in the Gold Cup. Last year, Fabian Espindola was suspended for 6 games for roughing up AR George Gansner.

    1. Look what I found from last May...https://gfycat.com/FrequentFastElver

    2. That's Jones. As we know him from Germany ;)

    3. It seems, though, to be a tendency for Geiger to somehow end up in rough confrontations. Could his man-management be weaker than some other referees? I can think of three incidents of this kind involving him in MLS in the past year, plus the Panama/Mexico thing. Either that, or as one of the top referees in MLS (there's him, Marrufo, Kelly) and CONCACAF, he is involved in more intense games.

    4. In the first video on 1:02 clear Red card missed.

  4. QF predictions:
Brazil – Nigeria: Michael Oliver, Stuart Burt, Gary Beswich (all ENG), Deniz Aytekin (GER)
Croatia – Mali: Abdulrahman Al Jassim, Taleb Al Marri, Saoud Almaqaleh (all QAT), Mohammed Mohamed (UAE)
Ecuador – Mexico: Matej Jug, Matej Zunic, Gregor Rojko (all SVN), Ievgenii Aranovskyy (UKR)
Belgium – Costa Rica: Enrique Caceres, Eduardo Cardozo, Juan Zorrilla (all PAR), Roberto Tobar (CHI)

  5. How many teams will go home after the quarterfinals?

  6. Thank to Árbitro Internacional we know that Aguilar (CONCACAF) and Roldán (CONMEBOL) will attend Club World Cup in Japan. Your predictions about the other confederations and especially UEFA?

    1. For my taste I would have rathered Bejarano and Cunha / Arias but anyway, I can understand Roldan after being sent home last year, but Aguilar is refereeing match possible at the moment! I think UEFA as you elude to is a very interesting situation; Mazić or Skomina would be my nomination but one very subjective certainly.

    2. I would say:
      UEFA: Eriksson
      CAF: Otogo-Castane
      AFC: Shukralla
      OFC: Zitouni

  7. Quarter Final appointments WCu17 in Chile:

Brazil vs Nigeria: Matej Jug, Matej Zunic, Gregor Rojko (SVN), Martin Strombergsson (SWE)

Croatia vs Mali: Enrique Cáceres, Eduardo Cardozo, Juan Zorrilla (PAR), Hector Rodriguez (HON)

Ecuador vs Mexico: Ruddy Buquet, Guillaume Debaut, Cyril Gringore (FRA), Nick Waldron (NZL)

Belgium vs Costa Rica: Janny Sikazwe (ZAM), Jerson dos Santos (ANG), Arsenio Marengula (MOZ), Mohd Bin Yaacob (MAS)

  8. Kassai has match Tuesday in CL.

    1. His 3rd match on MD4, especially after the performance in Leverkusen... I am surprised.

    2. That is strange because he already officiated on MD3 in Leverkusen. Are you sure about the source, Márk Szántó?
If confirmed, this could mean, as Daniel wrote, that he will replace another official originally appointed for that game. Let's see.

    3. He was appointed the Hungarian Division with György Ring and Vencel Toth. on Saturday. But today new referee and new assistants in this match. Last time when was changed,(in Hungarian Division)he had match in CL on Tuesday.

    4. A reason could also be a shortage of Referees atm with 6 UEFA officials in Chile.

  9. Matches on MD3 and MD4? It is not usual in any case. Maybe he will substitute an injured referee but in that case I don,t understand either his choice after his last match
